Mrs. Nibhanupudy was nice enough to give Alex some specimens from her butterfly garden! We have an egg (not sure what it is, but we suspect it is a Gulf Fritillary egg), a monarch caterpillar that has just hatched (it's smaller than my pinky nail), and a full-grown Gulf Fritillary caterpillar. Now we have a specimen representing each stage of a caterpillar's life (well, we will soon when we have a butterfly!).
We have pictures to the left.
